Image-Guided Procedures

Image-Guided Procedures in Fayetteville & Angier, NC

At Valley Radiology, we want you to know that radiology doesn’t have to be invasive and uncomfortable. By offering Image-Guided Procedures (IGP), we are able to get the vital information we need in order to diagnose abnormalities, tumors, and health concerns within your body while keeping you comfortable. With this information we will be able to proceed with proper treatment that is minimally-invasive, and provide you with the best care possible.

CT-Guided Biopsy (HOSPITAL BASED)

A CT-Guided Biopsy is a procedure where we collect tissue or a fluid specimen from an organ or suspected tumor mass. Using Computed Tomography (CT) allows for incredible precision as the physician collects the sample. By examining the cells or tissue, we can get a definite diagnosis of whether or not there is cancer located in the area of concern. We offer CT-guided biopsies for:

  • Liver
  • Chest/Lung
  • Chemoembolization of liver tumors
  • Radioembolization of liver tumors
  • Kidney biopsy
  • Abscess drainage

Ultrasound-Guided Procedures INTERVENTIONAL CLINIC

This technology allows us to monitor many body systems including the skeletal, digestive, urinary, respiratory, and reproductive systems, all at the same time. Fluoro-guided procedures allows us to look into the patient’s body without the use of anesthesia or sedation. We use fluro-guided procedures for:
